This marine cavity with a double entrance is located near the mouth of the Barranco del Jurado. According to legend, the natives would use this place to trap the pirates that tried to capture them to sell them as slaves, by luring their ship into the larger entrance while escaping through the smaller one on the other side of the cave. Whether this is true or not, the cave is one of the highlights of the maritime excursions along the coast of Tijarafe. In the afternoon, when the last rays of sunlight reach the cave almost parallel to the sea surface, a spectacular show of multi-coloured reflections can be seen on its ceiling.
