The festival of the neighbourhood El Lomo, situated directly above the village center of Tijarafe, takes place on the eighth day of the Corpus Christi. The festivities start with a procession, carrying the statue of Christ from the church up to the “Era de El Lomo”, a small square that used to be a threshing floor, where the “Bendición de los Campos” (the blessing of the fields) takes place. At night, the dance is held, with live music and the distribution among the visitors of food and beverages by the locals.
