This celebration, in honour of the Pestana cross, held in the neighbourhood El Jesús, has been organized since the beginning by the local population. It takes place on the Plaza de La Pestana, the local square, which is also known as Plaza del Jesús. The festivities, which are concentrated in two days at the most, include several musical performances and the traditional square dance. The festival was reinstated in 2014, after not having been held for more than a decade. It was once famous for its “comedias”, theatrical events composed and directed by the neighbours themselves.
